Pantone housewares (ornaments, tins, and mugs--oh my!) have been hot items for a while now, but did you know that there is an actual Pantone hotel?? For real. It's in Belgium. And it's full of colorful, Pantone-y goodness. I'm not usually a "hang out in hotel lobbies" kind of person, but I might make an exception in this case. Also, can you imagine what their gift shop is like? Pantone heaven, most likely. Check out more here.

My little color-loving heart nearly exploded when I saw Emmanuelle Moureaux's portfolio. This French-born, Tokyo-based architect has made a name for herself through her signature use of color. Much of her work is in the commercial realm, but there are a few private residences that are worth checking out, so be sure to take a look at the rest of her portfolio!

Lotta Agaton is a Swedish interior stylist and blogger whose portfolio has me running a fever... a fever of love that is. Cheesiness aside, her work really is quite gorgeous and inspiring. I love this series she recently collaborated with photographer Pia Ulin (a fellow Swede and incredible talent) on. It's a fun juxtaposition of neon colors against raw wood, black, and white.
Check out more of Lotta's styling portfolio on Agent Bauer and for an extra dose of inspiration stop by her fabulous blog.

OK, I'm just going to be completely honest. I have no idea what this website says as it's all in Swedish, but my oh my does it have some gorgeous images. I've just been blindly clicking around and it's worked for me so far. Give it a shot.

If there are any Swedish speakers in the house, a little rundown about Bolaget would be greatly appreciated! As far as I can tell, it's some sort of real estate / property listing site (but way better than any I've ever seen before)..?

It's only the first week of January, but that's not stopping me from day dreaming about swimming pools and sunshine. Especially when they look like this modern beauty designed by architectPadraic Cassidy. The ipe wood deck, the custom tiles, it's all so perfect! Take a peek, or should I say a dip, at/into more photos after the jump!

Happy first-day-back-to-reality! Hopefully you all had a fantastic New Year's. I thought we'd take it a little easy on the first Monday of 2011 with a big heaping spoonful of eye candy. What do ya say? Yay? Fabulous. These visual treats come courtesy of Marjon Hoogervorst, a Dutch photographer with a love of (sexy) interiors and modern design. Take a peek at her images, and I think you'll see how her passion for great design shines through.

I have been lusting over Barbara Hill's modern interiors ever since I first discovered her work (which, for the record, was last week). One of my favorite spaces is this restored dance hall in Marfa, Texas, which Barbara resides in about half of the year. It's a unique combination of South Western, Scandinavian, and Contemporary styles - and it totally, totally works for me. What do you think?

P.S. Bonus points if you spotted a Felt Shade Light in this home!

About:
Elizabeth Close’s brilliant design for this classic 1963 split-level rambler lacked a direct connection from the main living areas to the site’s beautiful yard. A new spiral stair now leads from the living room to the terrace below without obstructing the facade. Inside, the kitchen’s ceiling was vaulted and a wall removed to open the space to the dining room, reflecting the important role the kitchen now plays in family life. A renovated eat-in kitchen and new mudroom provide modern amenities, while updating throughout the home brings a fresh, modern look that suits this young family.

I absolutely love these TROKUT "modular objects" from Antipod Studio. There are not a lot of details available unfortunately, including cost or how to purchase. The up side however is it's got me brainstorming on all sorts of great modular storage solutions.
What's your favorite "modular object"?

Wow. Absolutely gorgeous work from Canadian interior design studio Munge Leung. I love the "House on a Ravine" project the most, which is a 7300 square foot home (designed by Taylor Smyth Architects) set onto a spectacular conservation area in Toronto. It won the 2004 Design Exchange Gold Award and the 2004 Best of Canada Award for Residential Design.
Check out the rest of their portfolio here, including some great commercial spaces. Meanwhile, more pics of "House on a Ravine" below!

Gorgeous work from photographer Dean Kaufman. You may recognize some of his images, as he has photographed frequently for various architecture and interior design magazines. (He even shot all three features and the cover of the Dec/Jan issue of Dwell.) I love his soft, clean style. Check out his portfolio and let me know what you think!

There's nothing better on a Wednesday than beautiful photographs of stunning architecture and interiors, am I right? Browsing through Eric's portfolio certainly made me feel warm and fuzzy. Check it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

I love the bright, airy quality of photographer Laura Resen's interior shots. She really captures the character and warmth of each space, don't you think? I definitely prefer this kind of aesthetic to the more sterile trend floating around these days. Check out more of her work and let me know what you think!

Dominic French is a London-based photographer whose work I discovered on Flickr. Let's just say I'm a little jealous of anyone who gets to spend that much time in so many amazing interiors! Take a peek at his portfolio for more beautiful images and stick around for a few of my faves after the jump!

Based out of San Francisco, interior designer Charles de Lisle puts his 25 years of creative experience (in the fields of ceramics, metalwork, furniture, product design, decoration and interiors..!) to work creating uniquely beautiful spaces. My favorite is the William Wurster Ranch he worked on in Portola Valley, California. The warm, mid-century styling mixes well with newer, contemporary pieces as well as a few arts and crafts touches. I'm absolutely mad about the kitchen, though, as well as that AMAZING light fixture in the dining room. Be sure to check out the rest of his portfolio if you get a chance! Meanwhile, more images of this lovely ranch can be found after the jump!

Brooklyn-based architecture firm Delson or Sherman has a way with light. Looking through their portfolio, it's the one thing that really stood out (other than how amazing all their projects are)! By combining plenty of access to natural light, translucent materials, and lots of reflective surfaces, many of their residential spaces have a distinctly clean and understated feel. I would definitely be happy in any of these homes!
Check out the rest of their portfolio here.
Lots of images after the jump!

I just spent a good chunk of time browsing through the portfolio of Irish firm Odos Architects, and all I can say is WOW! I would love to live in any of these homes. One of my favorite little details is the open fireplace in the concrete floor of this house - super cool, though probably not particularly child or pet friendly. A lot of Odos' residential projects have some great Eco features as well, like the grey water harvesting system of the 3 Mews House, for example.

All in all, they've got a pretty impressive portfolio going. I'd suggest you head on over and check it out for yourself! Meanwhile, enjoy the few appetite-whetting photos below!

Oh boy, do I have house envy! I stumbled across this gorgeous home on flickr, which belongs to Martha McQuade, the founder, designer, and artist behind UNIFORM Natural. I love the fun mix of mid-century and new, but what really does it for me are all the wonderful textures throughout the house. This space is very modern, but looks so, so cozy! Definitely a warm, livable home. I would love to call this place mine, wouldn't you? Say, Martha, are you game for a house swap? Check out more images below, but definitely stop by her flickr page for the full set of pics.

Let's start this week off with a big helping of Scandinavian dining spaces, shall we? Because, really. These are some of the most inspiring interiors I've seen in a long time and it would be an utter shame not to share them with you. I spotted them over the weekend on Emma's Design Blog, a great source of enlightenment for lovers of the Scandi Modern style. The images come from RUM, a Danish design site.

A perusal of Swedish photographer Jonas Ingerstedt's portfolio will leave you breathless (and itching to redecorate). I love the clarity and quality of light it each image - just gorgeous! Check out his collection of interiors here.
