Let`s be honest: there are not a lot of funny things coming from Germany in the

last few month or years. But modern times allow us to change our view. So, I introduce

the young designer and illustrator Joachim Sperl. He creates a quirky, complex,

 and colorful world in his illustrations, with a richness of detail in his work.  There is also

ambiguity and irony in his storytelling that deserves attention.
