After three days of rain we now have a foundation! Today we had a very large crew setting up forms and pouring the foundation. We actually had 12 men working on our home today! They were able to set up forms and pour the concrete within a few hours. It is amazing how fast things go once they decide to show up. The tall portion is the beautiful fireplace wall. It is 7 Feet tall and 24 inches thick and will be seen inside and out. The remaining walls will stand 24" above the ground. They should be able to remove the forms tomorrow. We expect framing to begin wednesday if all goes well. -Jacob-
