Clean and simple with a pop of color for flair... yes, yes I quite like this new poster-sized wall calendar from Up Up Creative! Snag one right here.
For the DIY crowd, wall calendar printing is available at PsPrint.com.
The Par Salt and Pepper shakers from Materia is another shinning example of beauty coming from a simple design and an honest material pallet. I really like the idea of a glass salt and pepper shaker and the cork base compliments it very well. Unfortunately I'm not sure if these are sold in the US, but I've sent an email inquiring about purchasing and I'll let everyone know what I find out.
It looks like modern furniture maker Blu Dot has expanded its offerings to include a new line of wool and cotton rugs! The stand out player here is definitely the Last Newspaper rug: a unique flooring option made from recycled newspaper woven into cotton. Other series include shaggy Cush and woven Dash rugs. All styles are available in 3 sizes and multiple colorways. Check out the full collection right here.
Pure genius. Simple genius that is. Noon studio has a fantastic stool prototype that can also double as a modular shelving unit. What get's me the most about the design though is the simplicity of the construction and the materials. Steel and oak held together with some simple joinery and tension.
Lot's more photo's after the jump. Make sure you check out the closeup of where the wood and steel meet. Lovely.
Oh la la. I absolutely love these Giclee prints by West Yorkshire based Dig The Earth. I'm sure some of it is because it is slightly reminiscent of the Alexander Girard Feathers fabric that I am absolutely obsessed with. That, and it's just amazing.
Too cool for words: "Working out of a converted schoolhouse, Potting Shed Creations (based in Troy, ID) crafts contemporary garden accessories with sustainable potting materials. The Bottle Garden line creates indoor or outdoor self-contained herb gardens out of discarded glass beverage bottles."
A quick update on the Limpet Coat Hooks I posted about last month. It looks like they received enough votes on made.com and they are now officially going into production. You get a set of 6 multicolored hooks for £29. In the meantime, designer Kirsty Whyte is freelancing in Shanghai until mid October. I hope to see more great products of hers going into production.
Brooklyn-based artist Vince Contarino has climbed to the top of my "favorite painters" list pretty quickly. Check out his portfolio and see which of his pieces speak to you!
I've been looking at these blocks on Etsy for a couple days now, and I honestly can't believe that someone hasn't bought them yet. Tempted as I am to get them for myself, I thought I would do the nice thing and put this out there for my readers. These amazing vintage wood blocks are honestly some of the coolest blocks I have ever seen. I absolutely love the colors and the inset triangle of white and yellow. A mere $20 will get you an amazing 9 block set. Someone get this before my hand is forced.

I'm obviously on a wood + color kick this week, and while the Studio Juju bowls I posted about were amazing, the move vibrant colors of these Wood Color Tumblers from ITUTU are absolutely breathtaking. I admit the $57.11 price tag which is presumably for just one cup is a bit much, but they are coming all the way from Japan. What do you expect?
DwellStudio has been on fire lately! Apparently 2011 was their year, because just about every week they seem to be adding new products or, at the very least, announcing new products. They've even expanded to include decorative objects, like these gorgeous ceramic vases. Check out all their new collections here and let us know what catches your eye!
Damn you Portlandia for making me never want to post anything bird related ever again. I defy you, and challenge you to not fall in love with this cheeky bird print by June Craft.
Be still my heart. I posted about the fabulous work by Singapore based Studio Juju earlier in the year, but their new work definitely deserves a follow-up post. I've completely fallen for their Wobble and Mushrooms bowls. Made of lathe formed maples with powder coated aluminum lids, these simple containers are absolute eye candy. I want one of each of them pretty please.
Lots more pretty pictures after the jump.
Ever since they announced that Man Men season 5 would be postponed until early 2012, I've been struggling to fill the void that's been left in my life. So, it is with eagerness (and slight desperation) that I share these suh-weet posters by Cape Town-based design studio Radio.
I love wine, and I love walnut, so it goes without saying that I would love to store my wine in a walnut wine rack. The Drona wine rack made by Jonathan Malphrus of Steric Design add some interesting geometry and nice contemporary craftsmanship to the typical wine rack. This Drona has a series of large hexagons connected by salvaged cherry joinery. It looks fantastic, and holds an impressive 35 bottles. There is a smaller version that only holds 5 bottles if that's more your thing.
I love finding Etsy shops where the artist is based outside of the united states. Eszter Schall is a graphic designer from Budakeszi, Hungary who brings a wonder folk art feeling to her prints. Her pieces are affordable, and full of whimsy and delight. Besides these wonderful prints, Eszter also has a blog devoted to her less folk inspired, but equally wonderful wedding invitations.
Don't call it an artichoke, this natural wood veneer pendant light is all pinecone! Consisting of 56 "plates", each light ships flat and is available in four finishes: maple, beech, antiaris, and kaya. Designed by Pavel Eekra, 2011.
I have absolutely no idea what I was looking for when I stumbled across these interior shots, but when I saw them I was awestruck. I especially like the stark white interior mixed in with the warm walnut table and brick accents. Located right next to the London bridge, you can rent this three bedroom apt for £2,250 a week. Who's in?
