Accordion pleats never looked so good! Especially when applied to Crate & Barrel's newest lighting series, what with its distinct MCM flair. Choose between three styles (cylinder, hourglass, megaphone) and your choice of white, black, or orange.
Summertime is here and it's time to break out the grill. Unfortunately for me my big grill I had isn't exactly conducive to loft living so my good friends are currently grill-sitting it for me. I still want to get in on the action though, so I've been looking for an ultra portable, inexpensive and attractive charcoal grill. While that sounds like a tough order to fill, I think that I may have struck gold with the Fire Sense HotSpot Notebook Charcoal grill. Despite having one of the longest, most awkward names, it actually looks pretty amazing. When not in use it folds down to 18 x 18 x 1. Yes one inch thin as Steve Jobs would say. All this for just $37. Not too shabby.

One of our awesome readers posted this on our Facebook wall yesterday, and I thought it was good enough to share with everyone. This 2lb box from Anthropologie is made from cast iron so it's small but substantial. It could just be the perfect place for you to hide some little treasure that you have. Best of all, it's on sale for just $8.

As you know, we're big fans of wood toys here at GRM, so when I spotted these charming toys from Just Hatched I couldn't resist sharing them with you! With a focus on nature, each set is handmade from either Poplar or Birch, then painted with AP Nontoxic paints and polished with natural homemade beeswax. So far, you can have your pick between a wooden leaf puzzle (6 leaf shapes: Oak, Beech, Ivy, Dogwood, Maple and Cottonwood), bear set (2 bears, cave, rock, and tree), or a veggie set (Tomato, Cucumber, Onion, Potato and Carrot)!
Remember when simple things like spray bottles were well designed and made to last forever? Yeah, me either, but I wish I did. Those must have been the good old days.

Usually I'm saying that I wished I would have thought of this. This time I'm saying I did think of this, and now I wish I would have actually done it. The c/dock is a new Kickstarter project for all of you who use your iPhone as an alarm clock. Made from a solid piece of Walnut with either an aluminum face, or a glossy resin face. The c/dock incorporates a usb cable into the mix to keep your iPhone charged up for you.
Honestly I would have like a plain walnut face option, but besides that the execution seems pretty great. If you like it, support it.

These lights are undeniably inspired by Niche Modern (especially their Pod Light), but considering these only cost $99 versus the Pod's $900, I'm not complaining too loudly. West Elm's version is available in two sizes and your choice of grey or sea green.
Unfortunately for me (and you) this classic white enamelware salad bowl designed by Kaj Franck for Arabia Finland is sold. Which really sucks because I wanted it.
Now I need your help. What are your favorite online stores to shop for Scandinavian home accessories?
It's mid-July and the heat index is rising all over the place! If the AC, swamp cooler, or ceiling fan isn't cutting it, it might be time to bust out your own personal table fan. I love this retro-styled option from The Company Store especially, never mind the fact that it's available in 11 colors. Bring on the breeze!

There are all sorts of great finds to be had on ebay. This one looks like an incredible deal right now, but I'm betting in 6 more days when the auction ends it will be priced at a premium.
The facts.

What better way to start a Monday than with two sets of minimalist blocks from across the pond. The top photo shows Russian made Geo Blocks, which includes a set of 7 wooden blocks painted white. 7 too many for you? The how about the Swiss designed Designomat blocks. Comprising of only 3 blocks, they can be rearranged to form endless shapes.

When it comes to modern garden accessories (well, everything MINUS planters), it seems the pickings are pretty slim. So, I was pretty pleased to spot Terra Trellis, an offshoot of California-based TerraSculpture Studio. Their collection offers re-imagined, modern versions of classic garden structures, including trellises, arbors, and tuteurs. The hand-welded steel pieces are also available in 7 contemporary colors and finishes, from aubergine to oxide, white to kumquat orange. With such beautiful craftsmanship, I'd consider these less accessories and more pieces of functional art!
Check out all the styles and options through the link below and let me know what you think!
I know that these slice scissors are old news, but they are new to me. New as in I just picked up a pair off of Fab.com last week. I opened them last night and I'm here to say that they are just as good looking in person as they are online. Well done Mr Rashid. Well done.

Here's a little insider tip for all my Salt Lake City readers with kids...
We've covered some cool Airstream remodels on GRM before, but never one quite like this. The Creative Capsule started its life as a normal Airstream trailer, but recently got completely gutted and refinished inside with one purpose in mind. Entertaining and teaching kids. Tenfour industries is using the space to teach children's craft projects and host birthday parties. They are making their inaugural appearance tonight at the Millcreek Community market from 4 to dusk.
Follow the Creative Capsule on Facebook to see where they will be next.
I loved these metal side tables the moment I laid eyes on them... and THEN I saw the price! Thirty five bones?? Sold! Perfect indoors or out, these little modern cubes just shot to the top of my list. Available in green, white, and turquoise.
Here are the ingredients for the perfect simple white pendant light. Hand formed, with a porcelain top cap, aluminum ceiling mount, and 51" of braided cotton cord and steel cable for hanging. Add light bulb and enjoy.

Ahhh, it's my favorite time of year again! CB2 just unveiled a whole bunch of new products this week, including this mango wood and powder-coated iron number. The height is adjustable to allow for use as a counter or bar stool. In a perfect world, I'd love to see it available in more colors, but until then you can snatch it up in a bright, glossy red.
I spotted this magazine holder on Swissmiss the other day and just had to share it! Besides the fact that it made me smile, it's just plain good looking. Made from a single sheet of bent steel, the roof of this house functions as a bookmark while the interior keeps the rest of your magazines in order. Clever, eh? Available in red, white, or black.
