I know it's way too early to be itchin' for Spring, but maybe I can start bringing a little bit of color inside with these playful tube vases from Chive. Available in sets of 8 or 12, each ceramic grouping comes with your choice of a square, rectangular, or circular base. Also available in white.

Christmas came a little late at my loft, so while you are reading this, I'm still enjoying ripping open presents with my two kids. While the tornado of wrapping paper is settling I'd love to know what Santa brought everyone?

I discovered Aluminum Christmas trees this year, and was lucky enough to pick up a nice 7' Evergleam and color wheel for my place. I came across this fantastic How To on decorating your aluminum Christmas tree at AluminumChristmastrees.net. It's worth a read even if you don't have an aluminum tree. Check out the rest of the guide after the jump.

Happy Holidays and a very Merry (mod) Christmas, GRMers! I don't know about you, but I'll be keeping my eye on the sky for any inexplicable rocket ship activity tonight.

2011. It's coming, and it's going to be your best year ever. To keep track of all the awesome things you'll be doing, you need an equally awesome calendar. May I submit for your consideration calendar two thousand eleven? Sure the name is a little obvious, but the calendar itself isn't. It uses an unorthodox horizontal layout to keep track of the days. The design geek in you will also appreciate the fact that it's typeset in Akzidenz Grotesk and printed on 150 GSM curious particles snow paper. Whatever that means.

Brothers Don and Ryan Clark are Invisible Creature, a full service design, illustration, and art direction studio based out of Washington state. Their unique style has brought them a whole slew of accolades, including four Grammy nominations for music packaging. Other clients include Target, Nike, Esquire, and Sony to name a few. Fortunately for us little guys, their sweet illustrations are available as posters, prints, and t-shirts. My favorite is definitely the Time Will Tell t-shirt featuring a whole collection of George Nelson and other atomic-era clocks!

Chicago-based graphic design and screen printing studio Sonnenzimmer has some of the sweetest prints this side of anywhere. Each print is available in a limited edition and, once sold out, never printed again. What's more, these large prints (typically around 19 x 25 inches) are only a mind-boggling $40. Felt obsession: complete.
About:
This is Kula – the first Normann Copenhagen product made in Iceland. Kula is a series of felt wall hooks and trivets made by the Icelandic textile designer Bryndis Bolladottir, who explains: Kula is all about integrating my craft with resources found on Iceland. It was obvious and natural for me to use felted wool. As a textile designer, it is always interesting to create new designs by taking a quite simple shape and playing with it to create new areas of use. The Kula series radiates an immediacy, with a playful and joyous expression.
Each ball is a unique piece. Available in black, petroleum, and purple.

To keep track of all your new opportunities you may need to pick up a new desk calendar, and Redbean has a doozy. It comes packed with illustrations, great colors and even a easel style display case. Just what you need to help you conquer 2011 with style.

I love a nice simple bed. Nothing fancy, just a good sturdy place to put a mattress. The Alpen bed is just that. A simple metal bed that is both affordable and easy on the eyes. Unfortunately it looks like it may be a UK only product. If you are on that side of the pond, it looks like you can find it as well as other king size beds from time4sleep.co.uk

Design nerds, mod kids, and type freaks: rejoice! This may just be the coolest set of Christmas greeting cards you'll find this year. Introduced just in time for the holidays is a set of seven unique letterpress designs from House Industries, created in collaboration with print studio Lead Graffiti. My favorite might be the gold-inked calendar design, though they're all equally cool. Check out the complete set here and let me know which design is your favorite!
