I love celebrating everyday objects, and these matte finished porcelain vases are the perfect way to do it. They are glazed on the inside so they are perfect for keeping a cut flower looking fresh.
Bisque Finished Porcelain Vases $20

Coolest. Vases. Ever. I need to get my hands on one of these beauties from Oregon-based glass works studio Vitreluxe ASAP! The "Apollo" design is truly my favorite, though every collection is out-of-control-good. Check them all out here.

Too cool for words: "Working out of a converted schoolhouse, Potting Shed Creations (based in Troy, ID) crafts contemporary garden accessories with sustainable potting materials. The Bottle Garden line creates indoor or outdoor self-contained herb gardens out of discarded glass beverage bottles."
DwellStudio has been on fire lately! Apparently 2011 was their year, because just about every week they seem to be adding new products or, at the very least, announcing new products. They've even expanded to include decorative objects, like these gorgeous ceramic vases. Check out all their new collections here and let us know what catches your eye!
Modern vases and objects for the color loving set (like me)! Texas-based pottery studio Owl Creek Ceramics has a large collection of cheery ceramic wares ranging from bowls, plates, vases, mugs, and more. I love these quirky little polka dotted vases, but be sure to check out all their goods here.
The Vita Vase collection by Brooklyn-based designer Michiko Shimada is inspired by the various forms found within the human body. I don't know about you, but that stomach-y looking one is kinda sexy.
Over the weekend I received a couple good Kickstart submissions that I wanted to share with everyone. The first one (shown in the video above) is Freakers. Basically it's a knit sleeve for your beverage container of choice made with all sorts of fantastic colors and patterns. Sounds a little cheesy I know, but they actually look pretty cool.
Next up is a magnetic vase idea called Lusion Bloom. It's a vase that is held up by a magnetic vase that sits under a tablecloth. Pretty cool idea...
Love em or hate em, you can find out more on Kickstarter.

You can tell the weather is getting warmer when Capree and I start blogging about watering cans again. The BOCA watering bottle has got me scrambling for something green so I can justify buying it. Made of porcelain it has two spouts, one for fine streams, and one for pouring. It even has a felt ring to catch any droplets of water left behind.

Yep, I just checked and it's been confirmed. These ceramic vases from artist Wendy Jung are indeed the coolest things on the planet. They're available in two sizes as a hanging vase or wall mounted - and are surprisingly affordable considering they're handmade and one-of-a-kind.
Pod Vases by Wendy Jung: $29 - $39
Culinarium has a great line up of kitchen related products, but the one that caught my eye is this set of stackable concrete bowls. These hand burnished bowls are so flawless that they almost look like aluminum rather than concrete. They come complete with a cork gasket and concrete lid.
Culinarium stackable concrete bowls $69.

While these kami pots/vases from ett la benn look like beautifully sculpted ceramic or concrete, they are really made of paper. 100% biodegradable cellulose to be more correct. From the pictures on their website, it almost looks like they are made through a paper-mache process, using metal as a solid structure. Whatever the process, the end result is nothing less than stunning.

Oh man. I want one of these in a bad way. Urbio's new Urban Vertical Garden is a current Kickstarter project and consists of modular planter units. The pots and panels are made from "eco-plastic" and attach to each other using insanely strong neodymium magnets. You can also mount individual pots to the wall without the modular panels. Overall, I think it's a pretty rad idea for those with limited outdoor garden space or for people just wanting a unique method of incorporating plants in their homes. Urbio needs to reach its Kickstarter goal by the 10th of May, so if you're interested in helping this product get off the ground check out their page for more info.

If there's one thing you can always count on from West Elm, it's their collection of white ceramics. The shapes change slightly each year or maybe they add a touch of texture, but they're always beautiful, affordable, and available! I love this new collection of mod textured vases especially, but they also have their Pure collection for those who prefer the smooth variety. While you're at it, check out all their vase collections right here.
Textured Vases from West Elm: $29 - $34

I love these mini planters from London design team Thelermont Hupton. With an angled backside (oh my!), they're positioned at just the right angle. A cluster on your wall would make a bold, but simple statement. Perfect for succulents. Made from steel and available in a range of colors.
Off The Wall Planter available from A+R Store: $22

I love this series of ceramic drinkware from Up In The Air Somewhere. The Dip Cups are quite lovely and unique - each earthenware vessel is hand-dipped in yellow rubber after being glazed in either a light grey or white glaze. Each piece from Up In The Air Somewhere is hand built and totally unique - a perfect gift this holiday season!
About:
Up in the Air Somewhere is Chicago-based artist and designer Susan Dwyer. Three years after graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she focused in sculpture, Dwyer began creating a line of ceramic and papier-mâché vessels inspired by the clean, minimal lines found in industrial architecture. Because they are individually hand-built without the use of molds, every vessel has its own organic, one-of-a-kind character.
Drinkware available from Up In The Air Somewhere: $28 - $38

Holy Mother of Ceramics, these pieces from Etsy seller Fort are absolutely amazing! Each item is handmade from paper fiber clay and comes in a soft white, semi-gloss finish. Each piece takes about 1-2 weeks to complete.
