McMaster-Carr

Hopefully everyone here has already heard of McMaster-Carr. They are a sort of do it yourself industrial superstore. With over 480,000 products, there is a good chance that they have what you need, if only you could find it. I know that there are some great treasures amongst those 480,000 items. I almost bought some track for a sliding door from them once, and seriously looked at some of their faucets too. If you have been brave enough to wade through all the 480,000 products and found some good ones, we want to know.
What are your favorite items from McMaster-Carr?
Do you have any other similar websites with great finds?

Had not heard of McMaster. Have a feeling several hours will be sucked away wading. Not to mention the new non-essential projects that will be inspired by some random product I see.

I love McMaster and have been oohing and ahhing at all the possibilities since I first discovered them years ago.
My favorites?
We have 6 barn doors and will someday have a 7th.
The site is great not just for the # of products available, but for the search engine. We were able to find the exact vinyl washer we needed to mount our rusty metal siding based on outside diameter, inside diameter and thickness. It was so easy, not to mention inexpensive (compared to local suppliers).
Just found your website. I was looking for some Danish kitchen stuff. (Drying rack, specifically). Anyway, McMaster is a place I’ve been buying from for about 20 years. It’s got great industrial quality and the prices aren’t bad when you consider that you get the “real deal” and quality without designer or contractor markup. Their yellow big book is amazing.
