Wall-Mount Sinks

I’ve been scouring the web for a wall-mount sink for a certain tiny little bathroom that resides in my home. I’ve seen some cool ones from Kohler, but I don’t really want to spend a thousand dollars. There were a couple that caught my eye on Overstock as well, but I’m still not quite satisfied. Has anyone seen any modern-looking, wall-mount sinks that won’t break the bank? Share your finds, and links, please!

We have a tiny 1/2 bath (3′x5′) and we installed the Rohl 1090 Hand wash basin and love it. It fits well in the space and we get lots of compliments on it!

I put in Toto Nexus toilets and a Toto sink during the remodel so I can vouch for the products. There’s this wallmounted one that might fit, but they do have smaller models, too. $206
A smaller and cheaper Whitehaus China sink here. $160
The Tao sink from La Toscana has a offset bowl that I find appealing. It’s pricier than the others but still costs under $500

Take a look at the TOTO model#LT650G or the Porcher ELFE model# 26011-00.001. Both are modern “low slung” wall mount lavs. Great for tiny spaces. Pair with a single hole faucet with a teak or walnut handle and you’ve got a new MCM-esque style.

Check out La Cava. I specify them all the time. Great Italian style inventoried in the US.

These people make and sell quality fixtures at really reasonable prices.

We’re in the same boat, and are looking at getting the Happy D by Duravit. We priced it out at Studio il Bagno here in Salt Lake, and they have the 23.5″ basin for $240.00, or the 25.5″ for $262.50. It also comes in larger and smaller sizes, those are just the ones we looked at. Plus, you can get siphon covers, full pedestals, or my favorite… a chrome console that can be added later when we have more cash :) Check them all out here: http://www.duravit.com/products/series/happy-d./washbasins–c-washbasins_useo6q3rqe.html

PS… we are also considering the same one you linked to on Overstock. If you end up going with that, let me know what you think!

Have you checked out NPS Market Square here locally? They often have some pretty cool stuff, but it can be hit or miss and may take going back a few times. That said, you can set up keywords on their website and get an email anytime they get something in stock. http://www.npsstore.com.

They typically sell items for 50% of retail and have great sales on top of that on the weekends.

    Might be worth a look.

The two examples are terrible! Try a company called Wet Style. Studio Il Bagno carrier this locally. Also, look at duravit.

The key here is to use the search term “hand basin”. That will put you in the realm of fitting into a small space. We have a half bath that feels more like half of a half bath.

You have to love Mid Century Modern modesty.

We haven’t even gotten to that end of the house on our extensive MCM renovation yet but I’m already collecting links and ideas.

Time and money. Time. And. Money.

    Cheers,

    -Baz

Wow! Thanks for all the great suggestions and links! Looks like I’ve got some reading to do! From what you’ve shared so far, the Toto sinks are looking mighty fine as are the Duravit washbasins. I’ll keep checking out all the other suggestions as well. Thanks!

    We have a Duravit Scola:

    http://www.duravit.com/products/categories/washbasins/scola–s-0246_useo6ptmar.html

We originally planned to have it cantilevered off the wall, but the presence of two rambunctious boys under four years old led us to order the chrome base as well. I spent far too much time remodeling the bathroom to contemplate the possibility of watching the sink get pulled off the wall!

I got lucky with an ebay store vanity. It’s not just a sink, but they are modern and came at a good price.

I really like the Duravit Vero options, more rectangular than the Happy D and lots of width options.

Nice Post on the wall mount sinks!
Wall hung sinks are great for small baths. Small sinks have wall mounted fittings with single control.

Design Within Reach now carries Kitchens and Baths! I have included the link above and look for the official bath launch in May.

You could also take a look at bar sinks. Some are linear, so if you could find a wall mount, that’d keep your floor space clear and minimize protrusion into the room.

I’ve been nursing a crush on Lacava’s Dip sinks, available in three sizes.

    5094 Dip $230 (orig $490) http://tinyurl.com/cht6fs
    5091 Dip $245 (orig $490) http://tinyurl.com/dkruju
    5095 Dip $700 http://tinyurl.com/d9g5kc

Duravit also has smaller sinks, some with the integrated towel bar.

Bisonnett has many tiny sinks but they’re often approaching the $1K mark.

Correction on my #18 post above. I meant to say that Lacava has several tiny models, some with the integrated model. http://www.lacava.com

I mistyped “Duravit” because, well, I also have a crush on Happy D. Good luck!

We had a bit of a run in with Duravit.
It’s amazing what one can find cheaper after a company’s customer service rep pisses you off.
We were able to find a p-trap that works with Duravit’s Happy D wall hung sink for only $7.00 compared to $70.00 at most online retailers.

I can’t wait to show off our knock off vanity cabinet modeled after a Happy D vanity built by a local furniture maker for only $300.00. Same Cabinet retails for $1800.00…
