While it may not feel like it in some parts of the country, summer really is just around the corner. That mean’s that Ikea has a whole bunch of new items coming out that will be for summertime only. Summer items should start hitting your local Ikea in about two weeks. Most of the time summer items are available through June or July, but when they are gone, they are gone. Here is a look at what you can expect this year.

I’m thinking a couple of those rockers are going to be must haves on my end. Hopefully they’re sturdy, because I could use something to really tear into.

I think the green ROXO seating would be so beautiful on the terrace of my new apartment… Thank you very much for the inspiration!

Can someone comment of the quality of the Ikea Arholma versus the CB2 Resort Outdoor Sectional? I found the Ikea Arholma to be quite cheap feeling and looking, but I can’t compare to CB2 since we don’t have a CB2 store near us. Thank you!

meredith – i just bought a nordano set (table and four chairs). it’s very sturdy. the finish is darker than the applary, and i think the lines are just a bit cleaner and more modern. the only downside i can really see is that the table isn’t very big. the four chairs fit on the long sides, but the short sides are too narrow for the chairs (design oversight, i think). i considered buying benches for the short sides, but for now i’m just going to use some folding chairs.

basically, i’d strongly recommend it, unless your goal is to cram as many people around one table as possible. then applaro probably makes more sense.

I just bought some pieces from the Applaro series. It looks great and feels great. However, I can’t seem to find the lounge chairs anywhere. I like the ones in the Nordano series better than the Applaro series as they have armrests.

Anyone know where I can get Ikea’s Arholma modular pieces. My local Ikea stores are sold out.
