Austin Modern
26Jan09

I realize I’m on a bit of a vintage kick, but I can’t help myself! There are just so many treasures to be found – not everything has to be shiny and new, right? Hopefully you’re in a similar frame of mind, because I’d like to share this great vintage shop with you. Austin Modern is the online storefront of a shop by the same name based in Austin, Texas. With a 4000 square foot warehouse full of Mid Century finds, there is sure to be something that tickles your fancy!
Prices vary, but seem to be fairly reasonable. Check out their Etsy shop, too!

Who makes the grill on the right side?
Alexander
Hi Alexander-
The Red Ball on the right is actually a Coffee Server, how cool is that!?!
It does look a bit like a grill, but it’s a enamel ball that will hold about ten cups of coffee, the little burner on the underside is to keep the coffee (or tea) warm and there is a brass spigot on the front for serving. Spiffy!
I’m sorry but I do not know who made these.

Elle,
Thanks so much for your quick response. I really like that shape for a grill. I bet I can build something like it….
