Radiator mug

Lets admit it, when winter comes sometimes there is noting better than coming out of the cold to a nice hot drink. If it’s cold enough the best part is just warming up your hands on the mug. These gorgeous Radiator mugs designed by Stephen Reed are made just for that. The fins disperse the heat and help prevent your hands from getting too hot. The mugs are made of white bone china and look absolutely stunning.
Available at Zinc Details for $27.

Saw this on AT and thought about buying it. I love the look and the idea, but someone there brought up a good point… won’t the same ability to dissipate heat mean that the beverage itself cools faster? I guess if I drank my beverages quickly… but I tend to sip slowly.

I agree April. I love the look but some things don’t quite make sense. It seems like it would cool your drink off quicker, and it actually wouldn’t heat your hands as good as a normal mug because there is less contact with your hand. So much for form and function.

They should make oil filter mugs too…with a big FRAM on the side!
