Tree storage

Here is a great combination of shelves and wall graphics that would look great in a kids room. Designed by Thorunn Arnadottir this shelf creates a 3D tree by using various shades of green painted on the wall, as well as the abstract shaped shelving. Unfortunately there is no off the shelf solution (pun intended) if you want to make your own, but with a bit of creativity it could turn into a fun little DIY project.
For inspiration check out Thorunn Arnadottir’s site.

Wow, I love this. I’ve been planning to paint a tree on our entry wall and put some hooks on the branches for coats/bags… but this gives me some new ideas.

This would also look great (and a bit more grown-up) in other color schemes and without the tree trunk, so it’s just floating shelves and planes of color on the wall.

That Thorunn is a clever one. I really like this – it seems easily adaptable as well, like April was suggesting. Very cool.
