Corona sofa

There was some discussion over on Apartmenttherapy yesterday about affordable sofa’s, and the Corona sofa from Macy’s came up. I don’t think that I have ever seen it before and I was impressed with it’s clean mid century feel. Not the kind of thing I would typically expect from Macy’s. The reviews on it are very favorable and to make things even better it is currently on sale for for $699, which in my mind puts it in the “very reasonable” price category. If you are looking for the “amazingly cheap” category, check out the Plaza sofa for $470.

My husband and I bought this sofa a few months ago. We are very pleased with its clean styling and solid construction. For the price, it can’t be beat. We found it to be a much higher quality than ikea sofas for a similar price point.

This is a really nice-looking sofa. It is available in-store? I might have to check it out.

I also have this sofa, and no complaints here. :-)

Another owner chiming in. We’ve been very happy with ours for the past year. My only complaint is that the cushions aren’t very firm after some wear-in. Not surprising with a foam-only fill. Overall a very good value, though.

We also have this sofa. We’ve been very pleased with it from day one. Much higher quality than any of the others that were in the same price range. And usually Macy’s has sales around holidays.

I went down to the local Macy’s to buy this couch last year, but found the posture a bit too vertical. We really wanted a lounging sofa, so we went with the Margaret in a rust. You can get both in alternate colors, but they can take months to get if you don’t get the in stock colors. It’s been over a year now and we’ve been very impressed with the quality for the price. Recommended.
