		<description>Hi Creede,

Sorry, but I snagged the birch Malm, and not to rub it in, but I got it for 50 bucks! In all fairness, it needed a teeny bit of TLC, but now it's together and looks great.

Also, I have some great info on firepits for you and your readers. After a post on your blog about the washing machine drum fire pit, I became obessed with finding a cool, modern fire pit. I found this one, http://johntunger.typepad.com/artbuzz/2007/07/isosceles-recyc.html, but it was very expensive. I set out to find someone who could make one on a budget, and a really nice guy named Cliff from Steel Tech in Clearfield was up for the job.

In the meantime though, I discovered that at Wasatch Steel you can buy half-cylinders that are 30" or 36" across for around 50-60 bucks. I recessed one in my backyard, and it looks amazing. It's a great way to reuse material, and they are pre-rusted for your convenience ;) I will send you a pic if I ever get batteries for my camera.

Your place looks great by the way! Keep the pics coming!

Cheers,
Melissa</description>
