The Last Bathroom Update

I realized yesterday that I never put up any last pics of our bathroom to show our shower completely finished. It has been done for quite a while now, and we really love it, especially the dual showerhead. To pull the whole dual showerhead off on the cheap we ended up going with a Danze Parma shower/tub combo. The Parma has the tub diverter right next to where you turn the water on (instead of a pull up thing on the tub spout) so it makes for a clean look. Instead of diverting to a tub spout, it goes to our adjustable shower wand. Set it somewhere in between and you get dual shower heads! The tub/shower combo was around $350 and the wand was about $150. $500 isn’t exactly cheap by my standards, but compared to any other dual head systems I could find it was a steal.
More pictures after the jump.

It looks great! I love the idea of a soaking tub too, what a nice thing to have!

Bravo - I also chose the Danze Parma line for my entire new house build. Very high quality stuff and although they aren’t cheap, you can tell they are built to last.

Wow! That looks just like the Japanese bath areas I have seen in TV shows and movies. From what I understand, the traditional way to take a bath in Japan is to shower first, then soak in the super hot water in the tub. Everybody in the family re-uses the same hot water. I’m assuming everybody’s pretty clean before getting in the tub since they shower first. That would feel so luxurious.

We got a Danze Parma line faucet for our kitchen sink this past summer, replacing a tired and worn out Delta. I’m very satisfied with it - their product is a good value. They have good modern designs, and the prices are moderate - not cheap, but they are not as expensive as other brands of similar style. I’ve been recommending them.

If you had the means would you have sunk the tub? I am considering steel too and have ability to sink it into a crawlspace under it. Also, do you use steps to get in? how does thatwork for you?

Yeah I think we probably would have sunk it. Technically we could have. We had a crawl space too. I just didn’t want to go to all the work of redoing those floor joists. It would have been a lot more user friendly though. We didn’t have steps but could have used some. It was sort of awkward.
