I love mine, but have yet to hear a whistle, plenty of boiling, just no whistling. It says something about a flip-up whistle, but I have yet to find anything to flip up besides spout. Am I losing my mind. There was nothing else in the box and no directions and I spend my tea-drinking time trying to figure out why I can’t make it whistle. Help! Help! And please use language that doesn’t make me feel totally stupid. Thanks a heap. I’ll keep drinking my Tazo Zen and hoping for the best.

Looks like they actually learned something from previous attempts at producing design tea kettles, none of which were very practical.
