Dangit. I do believe I’m going to have to try this here murphy bed plan out, as if I didn’t already have enough projects. Our small house can’t have a dedicated guest room, but a full wall-mounted bed in my studio/office could be pretty groovy. I’m curious about the functionality of the gas shocks.

Great, helpful post. I’ve been wanting to install a Murphy bed in my spare room/studio for years, but have always been put off by the high price and involved fabrication of other kits. I’m a pretty good carpenter, but simpler (and cheaper!) is always better. I’ve already downloaded the plans, and I’m about to start ordering parts.
