The Elyse Clock

Lib Welldressedhome-Store Clockelysecherry-LgI am always on the lookout for a good affordable and well designed wall clock. It’s hard to find a nice simple one for a good price, but this one from Well Dressed Home seemed to fit the bill. I liked the subtle contrast between the metal frame and the soft wood background. The clock is currently on sale for $24. I was pretty excited about it until I started reading the details. It looks like it is actually a faux cherry background and a hard plastic frame. So the question is, just because it’s fake, would you still want it? For me I think I may have to pass.
Available from well dressed home for $24

I would not get the fake wood clock. I’ve found seiko makes alot of nice, clean wall clocks and analog alarm clocks.

Here is one example of a wall clock with wood: http://mallofusainc.com/Seiko-Wall-Clock-Oak-Noiseless-Black/M/B000SV4HOG.htm

However, I prefer many of their metal clocks over that one.

I’d pass on the clock as well. There is something to be said for the integrity of materials.
