Eva Solo Toilet Roll Holder

15Oct07

Billeder Products-Trollholder-Dele Trollholder Foto1Our bathroom is almost completely done. We finally finished the vanity a couple months ago (more on that later) as well as installed the hand held shower wand (more on that too). All we have to do now is a little touch up paint, add a towel hook and a toilet paper holder. This one from Eva Solo caught my eye because it is very simple and I kinda like the way it sticks out of the wall. The roll is held in place by those spring loaded black parts. No idea on pricing yet as it is due to come out sometime this month along with their other new products, but how much could a toilet paper holder cost.

Ha! Toilet paper holders costing over $100 are not uncommon. Those spring loaded bits are nice, I hate rolls that are “loose”. We stuff our TP rolls with 1/2″ pipe foam insulation. Keeps the roll centered and quiet.

“much could a toilet paper holder cost” Ha! Famous last words. As strange as it is to review the design of a toilet roll holder, that one looks cool, but the orientation of the roll on the wall is all wrong.

    $100 !!! Wow.

Gerlando, I actually like the orientation because I have a little jog in the wall behind my toilet that would make it perfect (ie normal orientation). I guess we’ll have to wait and see on the price.

Yeah, we got sticker shock when we started shopping for bathroom accessories. Shopping by brands seen in a design mag is bad news. Ginger, Valli&Valli, and Hansgrohe were high on our list, but TP holders were $65 to $145, so we went looking elsewhere. By the time we added in the spare roll holder, two robe hooks, 4 towel bars, and a hand towel bar, we were looking at over $500 in accessories. Thank goodness for China. We got some Danze Parma accessories for less than $200 total.
