The Countdown

I don’t know if you have been keeping track, but we certainly have. It has been four days since our little countdown widget turned to “0 days until Turnip Heads B-Day”. In fact we had to switch out “B-Day” for “due date” since things weren’t moving along so quickly. Luckily things are starting to happen, and we should be going to the hospital today. Posting may be a bit sporadic for the next couple of days while our lives readjust to the new schedule.

    CONGRATULATIONS! Waiting for your newborn is exciting and exhausting. My advice to expectant parents: SLEEP! Because seriously, you’ll never sleep well again. It is so true that to have a child is to have your heart forever walking outside of your body. The circle of life is an amazing and wonderful blessing. ENJOY!

    Happy due day turnip head! and seriously, happy happy to you and your wife. One word of warning though: babies are a lot squishier and a lot floppier than you could ever imagine. don’t freak out… you wont break him/her/it.

    it has taken all my strength to not bug you every day and ask… is it time? is it time? instead I have resorted to checking your blog… and FINALLY something… and that something isn’t even all the way official… but it’s SOMETHING… yay for everybody at your stylish yet modernly affordable home!     Just checked to see if there was something about your baby’s due date. You guys have made some amazing progress on your house in the last month and you will have a great home for your new family. Congratulations!
