That's so funny that I read your post-- I just made a cardboard house for my 2.5 yo out of the EXcellent cardboard box that our Cherner chair came in. New to the list-- how do I send you a pic?

I built a castle for my son a few months ago. he loves to play in it, when he doesn't want to play anymore he gets into the castle and looks at his books.

I built the castle from a recently purchased tv and vacuum boxes. Everything else was in the house already.

have a look

I also like that fact that when your kids have outgrown this, you can just recycle it. Unlike other big, and/or plastic kids furniture that is hard to throw away (my city won't pick up things that won't fit in the trash can) and will sit in a landfill forever. I recently picked up a sturdy cardboard kids table/chairs for that reason...
That house is darn cute though. Love the window and door flaps.
