Microwave Oven/Toaster

LG has always been one of my favorite appliance companies. They are able to think outside the box, and incorporate good clean design. Lately my wife and I have been thinking about getting a toaster. We have a toaster oven, which we like, but it is such a pain to drag it out just to make some toast. We would leave it out on the counter, but in a small kitchen, counter space is precious. Someone must have been thinking about the same problem when they designed this microwave/toaster combo at LG. They also have a model that combines a coffee pot and a microwave in the same way.
Available from AJ Madison for $150

Sears has had a couple of these for awhile now in their Kenmore line. The Brew-N-Wave and Toast-N-Wave. I don’t drink coffee and didn’t like having a separate coffee pot sitting out so I bought the Brew-N-Wave for my wife. Not only was it perfect for a single coffee drinker but the microwave is a 1200 Watt powerhouse with 1.2 cu./ft of space. We then purchased the Toast-N-Wave for my mom to help her save space and ditch her aging microwave and toaster. Anyway both of these come highly recommended if you can’t find the LG model. They also come in Black, White and everyone’s favorite… Stainless Steel.
I make a lot of toast…. I love toast, it is comfort food for me and always makes me feel better with a cup of tea. So with that in mind, I wondered if the bread crumbs would be difficult to clean up with this set up. I usually have to do quite a bit of shaking and manipulating to get all the crumbs out of the toaster… this would be a bit hard to shake.
We have this model and cleaning it is a breeze since it has a removable tray at the bottom; no shaking required. We love it; it is a great space saver.
