Modern Grilling

Wcsstore Momastore1 Images L 59417As the summer heat presses on, many people turn to the outdoors for cooking their food. While I still haven’t found a great affordable modern grill, the MoMA Store currently has some nice stainless steel grilling tools for a decent price. Made in Denmark and designed by Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbaek, these stylish and functional pieces are just the thing to cook up some fresh fish or a burger over the coals.

Available from the MoMA Store for $29-$34.

If anyone knows of a great affordable modern grill, please share!

I shopped around forever for an affordable but stylish grill and ended up with the stainless steel “Brinkmann Grand Gourmet” from target. They had it on sale for $169, but now it’s back up to $199. Still, $200 is half of what a stainless steel grill sells for anywhere else. Even has a burner on the side. Takes an hour or more to assemble though. This would be a good grill to build into a a nice outdoor kitchen

but if you really want a modern grill, here’s the best one I’ve seen:

    It’s not really “affordable” though

Not affordable, and not available until october of this year, but definitely beautiful. Maybe I could just buy a grill top like that and build my own out of Ipe and stainless.

Yes! Please build your own and post pictures!

I wonder what the Fuego will sell for.

    Pentagram designed it (http://www.pentagram.com/index.htm)
(That would be a fun place to work)

And here’s another modern grill, depending on your definition of “modern”:

I dig that Eva Solo (non-gas). Plus, it looks like they’re actually the manufacturer of the grill tools in your post. And the circle of life continues:
