The wood veneer, or whatever it's made from, looks better than most crappy self-assembly stuff. But then again, it's not as cheap as Ikea or West Elm. I've had the piece for about a year, and the sliding doors are starting to warp a bit, but it still looks pretty nice. Overall, I'd say it's about fair for the price.
